If you're subscribed to our weekly reflections, you know we've been writing based on BLK South’s values. This newsletter concludes that series by highlighting our final value: collaboration.
We believe the work we are called to cannot be done single-handedly. We enter into and create partnerships and collaborations with individuals, businesses, non-profits, churches, para-churches, social service entities, government, and education — all of whom share our interest in seeing forgotten communities reimagined and restored. Embracing the belief in the abundance of creation, we joyfully share resources, recognizing that we are blessed to be a blessing.
Recently, Kendall spent two weeks in Durham, NC, working on Asset-Based Community Development, learning firsthand from local leaders and neighbors how collaboration makes a real impact. His experience deepened our belief in Durham’s beauty and story, and we’re even more excited to be part of the good work happening there. Check out the full story in our latest video!
Kendall & Erin
P.S. Our biggest prayer request right now is to raise an additional $50K needed by the new year so Erin can join me in this work full-time at the top of the year. Please let me know if you think of someone we should connect with!
